While the Seattle Times today is touting the importance of a “shield law” for investigative journalists, this week’s signing of the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty suggests American gun owners need some shielding from the government as well.

I have always thought it amazing how the "media" is all for "shield laws" to protect journalist, yet in general are so dismissive of 2A rights in the name of "public safety".

How many lives have been destroyed or lost by irresponsible and/or outright slanderous/false statements via the media when compared to the damage caused by the insane and/or criminals using a firearm to kill/maim others.

The above is (obviously) rhetorical, because there is the old adage:

"The pen is mightier than the sword."

(or gun in this case)
