Need help picking semi auto shotgun

I have a couple of questions. Why any sophisticated sights on a shotgun that isn't shooting slugs? #2 My dealer has a like new Remington 1100 tactical for sale for $475. I've thought about grabbing it, but it seems a little heavy compare to my Benelli SBE goose gun.................... Should I get it for a house sweeper?

Simply because anything beats a single bead sight. 475 for an 1100 tactical sounds like a great price, correct me if im wrong. Would make a great home defense gun
