Got a Springfield Armory XDm 40 recently and was amazed at how different the trigger reset feels compared to my 1911 and half a dozen other pistols I own. I want to train a lot with the XDm and get more accustomed to the new feel.

But that gets expensive in a hurry, and the indoor range where I plan to practice has caliber restrictions at various times. Too bad Springfield doesn't make an XDm .22! I'd get one today.

But since they don't, can anyone here recommend a semi-auto .22 pistol with a similar trigger action? It needn't have that two-piece trigger-on-a-trigger "safety" nonsense. It's the depth, "take-up" and feel of the reset I want to replicate.

Perhaps I'm dreaming? Leads welcome. Thanks in advance.
