    snippet:

PRINCE GEORGE, British Columbia - Garbage and recycling pickup was called off for customers in much of King and Snohomish Counties for Thursday because of the natural gas pipeline explosion in British Columbia.

Waste Management said the blast disrupted the supply for the company's trucks, which run on natural gas. There will be no service for areas including Algona, Auburn, Federal Way, Kirkland, Mill Creek, Redmond, Seattle, Snoqualmie, and the unincorporated areas of King and Snohomish counties.

The company is unsure when service may be restored.

    Edited:
When disasters happen an prices are inflated it is called price gouging. But when the news says gasoline prices will now rise, that is different...

Dam.... one day of delayed garbage collection will put the listed areas literally knee-deep in old used condoms and dirty hypodermic needles!!

This event has been a Pita for me at work as they kicked us off usage and we had to shut our boiler down. Hopefully they get the pipeline repaired soon.

this is effecting more than just garabage trucks. Federal way schools are lowering the temps in the schools down to 60 degrees.

Everybody should be able to use gas again. Everybody be careful firing those cold plants up as that is when many accidents occur.
