Nasty round today.

    The powder blew out through the rear of the round, between the case and primer, shooting back from the rear of a 1911.
    Quite unpleasant.

    Always wear eye protection.

    So the primer pocket was already stretched when loaded? Had this happen to me on a 300 win mag case once.... it sucked, primer blew out.

    Nothing too dramatic, but the smell lingered in my nose for a few hours after that.
