Really makes navigating the site annoying (read herky-jerky, all stop etc.) when this unwanted video pops up and tries to start.

Sorry about the delay in seeing this thread. This is a new ad setup we're trying with one of our ad partners, Carbon. It pays a lot better than normal ads, but if it's degrading the user experience I don't want it. I appreciate the feedback!

Update.
On another forum I learned that my ablocker, Ad Block Plus has become ineffective on some ads.
I'm using Chrome for my browser and just loaded uBlock on it.
uBlock knocks out this unwanted sidebar video and I'm back to the smooth navigation of this site.
For the time being. anyway.

I don't mind most ads, you need to support the site! But yeah, that Carbon ad was definitely degrading the experience.
