Was given this holster today, does anyone know any information about what it could be for, age, etc?
Thanks 20190618_202907.jpg 20190618_202915.jpg 20190618_202924.jpg

That's a pretty old style stud clasp and the whip stitch is hand done. It's definitely a revolver holster, but I can't tell if it's for a 4" or 6" model.

The 44 is probably a model number because it looks like it could be for an old M&P .38 style of revolver. The 6 may be barrel length.

I don't understand why it would have that information but not a manufacturers mark. With the stitching & style and the way the flap folds in the corner it almost looks hand done, but the stamping belies that.

Maybe take a look at some of the older makers like George Lawrence and such. Then again, maybe some local maker made it and the numbers are just his marking system.

Enjoy the hunt.
