"mystery" 7.62X39 round Where was it made?

Guys, I was fussin thru some of my stuff and found a few AK rounds that I cannot ID- I THINK I picked them up from a gunshop in Trinidad maybe 20 years ago, and there is no box with them. The bullet itself is HOLLOW POINT, magnetic, with cupro-brass shell.. the case is steel, dk green or brown with what appears to be lacquer coating. The case-head markings are "711 93" best as I can make out. That "9" could be an "8" but pretty sure it's "9"... Anyone know where it was made? Thanks, Dun

Made in Russian plant #711 aka Klimovsk Specialized Ammunition Plant in 1993.


In 1936, a new ammunition plant construction was launched near Podolsk. It was named "Novopodolsky" and on December 30 of the same year was tagged with an official number – 711.

OK, thanks guys.. When I asked, I had no idea how to figure this out, and thanks to the help and hints, I now know! Ain't the innerwebs a cool thing?!. More info than a fella knows what to do with. Who'da thunk the actual plant would be online with pics and all??
