My new favorite

I picked up a Ruger Hawkeye V/T late last year. Heavy barrel .223, adjustable trigger, target stock, etc. I really liked the gun, but it was just too darn long with its 26" barrel. I had @Velzey do a cut and crown at 18", and boy did that make a huge difference!
This thing is dandy to carry and shoot now!
It has quickly become my favorite rifle, and cant see ever getting rid of it.

Didnt weight it by itself, but with glass and sling its 9.4lbs.
According to the Ruger page it was 9.7lbs alone. So probably lost a little over a pound.

Put a short legged bipod on it and over a 450yrd clearing calling in yo tes would be a hoot. That is a stout short accurate bbl. Nice.
