    Complete mystery? He probably was thinking he was leaving his loved ones some tangible assets that they could either enjoy or liquidate to make their lives a bit more comfortable. Ingrates. Are they planning to do a follow-up story where the family takes a group dump on the guy's grave?

    Okay I get it ... No one in the family likes guns or wants to have them around.
    Fine.
    If you want to send a message how about selling or auctioning them off , then donating the proceeds to victims of violence and their families?
    How about donating to a museum with a plaque stating "in memory of victims ..."
    Statements should mean something!

    He was probably planning on using the $250k to buy more guns so they should probably destroy that too.

    A good lesson for us all: have a plan.
    By the time I am my dad's age (90), I expect I will have given them all to my kids.

    They're just things. In the last century, many millions have been destroyed, and even more manufactured. Oh sure, I'll bet there are a lot of nice ones in there. Oh well.

    Plot to a B movie: family destroys all weapons, unfriendly folk show up. Bad timing.

    Meh, the inheritance obviously has no monetary value. The 250K, maybe they'll all take turns wiping their a$$'s with it and then burning it because it's dirty money. o_O

    The collector should have stopped and reloaded. The miss-fires are clearly evident given the planned approach

    If they didn't want them resold and didn't want to keep them, they should have buried them with the old man. That would have been bad bubblegum. He obviously loved them and would undoubtedly be pissed to know they were being used to make a political point.

    Of course you can't see all of the guns, but most that are visible are standard hunting rifles, can't see any evil black rifles trying to crawl out of the pile and slip away to do evil deeds on another day.

    Maybe he knew his family was a bunch of anti gun commies and kept his assets in firearms knowing they would destroy their own inheritance in a last F U to his dead brained family.
