I've fired a couple hundred on these 250gn PC cast bullets (4gn of unique) (seated deeper once I figured out they wouldn't feed). out of my AR45...
Well I was having feeding problems today and had quite the odd firing (still rang steel).
Extractor no where to be found. No more of these in the blow back, maybe ditch the load all together.

If they are having issues feeding, it's likely what caused the out of battery kaboom. I'd stop using them if that's the fear.

Also, kudos to the pretty unique extraction of the extractor? Extractor inception!

You figure you got good enough Neck tension on seating those Rounds ?
also. ( 4 grain ), that seems like an ultra-light powder charge on the load ?

How much total buffer weight are you running? Did you case gauge those rounds after reloading them?

4.0 grains of Unique is a serious undercharge for that 250 gr. bullet.

It looks like that 250 gr. bullet is a .45 Colt design, seating it deeper reduces the internal capacity of the case, which is not desirable.

Try polishing the feed ramp and swapping out the recoil spring. A smooth feed ramp and a fresh recoil spring can work wonders.

They really don't like the 45ACP micro freebore, powder coated bullets have never wanted to seat.
Think I will stick to 230gn plated bullets.
It has the heavy insert in the BCG and a like an H4 buffer.
