Just discovered there is such a thing as primitive biathalons and muzzleloader biathalons. Muzzleloader biathaletes use skis; primitive biathaletes use traditional snowshoes. Both carry blackpowder rifles cross-country. What a great idea!

I have done a "primitive" Biathlon back when I was more in my "Action Hero" physical shape...
It was fun.
