Muzzle brake on .45acp

I have a Colt defender. I was thinking, there I go again, thinking. Of putting a custom muzzle brake on my 45 acp. Something like glock did with the G36. I like to hear what you All think, and pictures of 45 acp with compressor.

"what do you use the gun for ?" would be the first question.
Are you talking about a proper cut ported compensator or one of those extended bushings with the slots in it ? What are you expecting it to do ? I used to own a ported Springfield. Not ever again.

The Glock website doesn't say anything about a compensated G36, although many other such models are offered. There are some compensated after-market barrels (Firedragon, EFK) - but you'd have to ask why Glock wouldn't add it to their factory lineup if they like the idea.
