I'm right there with you. I've identified three separate tones. Thankfully, they're not discordant. Someday I'll figure out what notes they are.

Lately this kid from Saskatchewan is garnering my attention. If you like traditional cowboy music Colter Wall is the real deal. He writes a lot of original stuff that sounds like it is from a bygone era and covers many classics adeptly.

I'm a sucker for good metal covers, and a little skeptical of a female vocalist trying to do it, so I checked out "Enter Sandman" and "Holy Diver", wow, she really pulls it off well!
