MP5 Gun Cleaning Mat

I've had my eye on this <broken link removed> gun cleaning mat for a while, but $25 plus shipping seems a bit steep. Does any one else own a TekMat? Are they worth the investment?

Try amazon, I use a door mat I bought for 1.88. This probably collects less debris tho. Might upgrade to a $4 drying mat.

They Hi-Power does look pretty cool too, maybe if I buy the mat my wife will let me buy the firearm so it doesn't go to waste!

You'll have to buy the pistol at with something, I think the catch is they won't ship on prefers under $25.
Why not buy both?

There is typically a guy selling these at gun shows for a decent price.

I think the material is the same as those old foam mouse pads. I like the padded surface and use them whenever I work on or clean guns. The black ones make it harder to see small parts laying on them but the light ones get real dirty if you clean guns on them. I have the yellow Gadsden flag (Don't Tread on Me) but after the first time I stopped cleaning guns on it.

I also got a solid gray one I am going to cut up to line the shelves in my handgun safe.
