Well the 2011 still has a plastic lower, so you still have your plastic (just not Glock plastic).

Just my .02 (and you get what you pay for here) if you have come to the point where you're shooting on the edge of the Glock's (or any other gun's) performance envelope, its probably time to change to something that might provide you with more potential. They say the 1911 is an extremely easy gun to shoot well... that doesn't mean it makes you a better shooter; if you suck at shooting your Glock (or whatever other gun) you may well suck (albeit a bit less) at shooting a 1911. That being said, there are not too many people out there who have found that ragged edge with a Glock; I sure haven't, but then I'm kinda slow.
