I know, but I very rarely see the pistol grip model for sale. NW Armory had the pic of one in their ad but when asked about it I was told "Oh the ad agency back East put that in. We only have the bird's head model". Which was not the one I drove all the way over to look at/buy!

Too bad that putting a real stock on it will make the waterproof storage tube unusable (what's with the psuedo-militaristic imagary?*).
Otherwise, a 20" M500 w appropriate magazine extension is a terrific weapon, just ditch the pistol grip.

*Doesn't bother me, but it does serve to reinforce some unfortunate stereotypes. And I don't recall ever seeing a pistol-gripped shotgun in the Marine Corps... maybe they use them in the Navy... ?
