Looking good. And just so you know there are some metal parts on the stock that are very easy to remove. The spring pieces that hold the metal bands around the stock and barrel can be pushed out with a punch very easily. It may make your refinishing easier.
what stain are you going to use? may i suggest sedona red from ace
i used tung oil, semi gloss, three coats, not sure what stage i took these pictures at... it looks really good now that it is together
Beautiful! I did the same thing and couldn't be happier with the finish. I ended with about 5 coats though and slightly darker finish.
nice stock. you really good a good one there.
when do we get to see the finished product
there you go parsons, a beautiful mosin nagant, those words barely belong in the same sentence, but it does look great, it is very smooth
Joe, 'very' nice .....
Nice job - looks good. how does she shoot?
i think i will take it to the range with me, from what i heard these has impressive fireballs that accompany the round out of the barrel
Looks really nice.
With that steel plate on the butt stock, Its like getting hit in the shoulder by a sledge hammer.
They make pansy pads (reciol pads) for mosin nagant's. Do you need the URL?
you know, i dont think so, i didnt think it kicked anymore than my sks, my wife shot the mosin and she didnt think it kicked much either, she loved the 3 foot flame that kept coming out of the barrel though, but thanks for the idea mark
The flame is awesome..
