    What you have is a rifle provided by the Soviet Union to the Spanish Republican forces in the late 30s
    and was involved in "The Spanish Civil War",
    uncommonly refered to as an 'SCW' Nagant.

    Who really knows who wound up with it.
    The Made in USSR marking is the give-a-way: a Spanish Export mark.

    The remodeled stock is interesting.

    I just let go of my 1933 SCW to a friend yesterday.

    Was that stock modification done during the Spanish Civil War or was it done more recently?

    It does not look recent. But it makes it nicer to shoot.
