I am trying to find out information on moly coated bullets. There seems to be limited information out there. Most people I have talked with either never heard of them or prefer not to use them. They are considerably less expensive so I figure there must be a drawback to them. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Moly coated bullets are a major PITA. They are usually used by those shooters that are looking for the absolute maximum speed possible from their rifle due to the reduced friction. Some use them to reduce barrel wear in calibers that just eat up the bore due to their speed and heat from the powder burn.

The leave a major mess, regardless. Moly coated bullets are a matter of choice. I choose NOT.
