The Minneapolis Star Tribune “made it official” in a weekend story discussing Minnesota’s growing number of carry permit holders – a number that might draw a grin from Washington State gun rights activists – by noting that “handgun owners have more freedom now than they’ve had in nearly a century.”

I missed where in the article it stated this freedom only applied to those of a certain age or race. Please do elaborate.

And "have more freedom" is not the same as "freedom only applied to".

Still not understanding why race and age (or for that matter body type) was even brought into the conversation. Is this not "more freedom" for all in Minnesota regardless race color, creed, or gender?

    Right!

Neither the column I wrote, nor the story upon which it was based, have anything to do with race or age, other than the statistical breakdown, AFAIK. Why that would be interjected into this thread is a head-scratcher.
