Mini 14 scope rings

Picked up a used newer model Mini 14. The guy misplaced the scope rings so I had to buy a pair. Only video I could find on Ruger scope rings was on the M77. With that model one ring that was taller than the other. I picked up two Ruger rings this afternoon and they are they same size. Is this correct or should one be taller than the other like with the M77
