I'm all for our military getting trained properly. However, doing it over a heavily populated area and firing off blanks is weak.
And people go ape crap over seeing a legal open carry.
Besides, am I mistaken, or do we not hear of heli crashes every couple weeks in Afghanistan?
Almost all in "non-combat related" incidents.

Note: I think his media indoctrination crept through when he called them "military-style choppers"

They usually hang off the guns on the coastie boats escorting the ferrys across the sound. I've said more than once, loud enough to be heard by other, that they are only there to shoot the survivors.

Other than that, I don't see they have any other purpose.

Its all part of the trillions of dollars spent on 'your' defense. The really funny one was the poor sailor they stationed on the Hood Canal bridge. They had a tiny guard shack and a porta-potty out in the midde of the bridge and outfitted them with a helment, 9mm and vest. I guess they called every hour or so, and if they didnt answer, they were either over in the porta-potty with porn, or the bridge was gone.

This is flat wrong on way to many levels. In an area such as this, using hwy traffic as targets? Over a civilian population is pure BS, let alone the fact that we hear about military craft coming down on a fairly regular basis, where are the spent cartridges going? I recall a couple of the units colliding during night ops outside of Yelm Washington a short while back, damn near in my kids back yard. They were on joint base Lewis/McChord that night, this is over a major metro area. Again, pure BS in my opinion.

So you have a Bell Jet Ranger helicopter flying over Portland - exaclty how is this a black op helicopter? I could not see any weapons on the heli? What makes it an OP51 helicopter?

And they are "Area 51" helicopters. Im sure the alien technology gives them the 2000 mile range to fly back and forth to Nevada.

I can understand the manuvers as that's no big deal. The blank firing is puzzling though.
I've seen armed helicopters flying low over I84 prepping and following the POTUS motorcade a few times.
It's not all that dangerous. But again, the blank firing is a head scratcher.
