  1. I agree to the classified rules and terms of service
OP I have a couple of questions concerning the homes for sale in Mexico. Unless something has changed Mexico never used to allow foreigners to own property . This is (was) by design in their Constitution Article 27 IIRC, the law places heavy restrictions on ownership in most of Mexico and forbade it entirely for coastal properties . May I ask in what context do you own the property? Also what are the restrictions that the new "owners" will need to comply with ?

I appreciate it a lot thanks

You definitely do not have to be a citizen of Mexico in order to buy property anywhere in the country. In fact, buying real estate in Mexico has never been easier or more straightforward than it is today, and millions of people from all over the world have successfully bought and sold property over the last few decades, often earning incredible return on investment (ROI) in the process. And since you don't have to be a resident in Mexico to own property here, there is no need to immigrate or even qualify for resident status in order to invest in real estate.

Definitely don't have to be a resident... I've bought and sold property down there in the past. Highly recommend hiring an attorney to make sure everything is done correctly. The beach line "rule" the previous member posted about is halfway valid. I believe the rule is 31 miles from the beach, if the property falls within that 31 miles to the beach line (60 something miles to within a border) then you have to form a trust through a bank, again, not hard, just pay an attorney to do it. Completely legal and usually a very stable investment. Glws
