I really don't get it... Metcalf should be familiar with another person who did something stupidly similar Jim Zumbo, who did much more to stick his foot in his mouth than metcalf did. That said, metcalf, and the whiny left are really doing little to help their case. Fact of the matter is Guns and Ammo is a private publication, that still exists in a world where print periodicals are essentially going the way of the do-do bird, the fact that the editorial staff had to dump some weight from the balloon to prevent them all from having an unpleasant interaction with a terrain feature should be hardly shocking.

At this point, Metcalf is just looking for some attention and the moms are more than happy to turn this whole thing into a senseless go-nowhere argument about rights, private property/industry/business, censorship and the like into a milkshake that will look worse than it tastes.

Metcalf's statements over time, not just in the editorial that got him in trouble, show a deep belief on his part that scary looking black rifles and pistols should be banned. He's made such statements over the years but never in such a public venue as his Guns & Ammo rant. After gun owners reacted to his statements, then Metcalf comes back and tries to justify what he said by saying that he cares about keeping our children safe. This is a typical bait and switch on the part of the left and Metcalf got caught. Metcalf is not an honorable man nor an honest one. His attempts to rationalize his actions and intentions by claiming to have high motives is quite sickening. Its a tactic that has been used by dictators to kill people, by mass murderers to justify their actions, by liberals to justify their gun hating intentions. As far as I'm concerned, Metcalf's just spewing insanity.
