If you do not HAVE to have airtight....folks on craigslist, etc. often have old school or utility company lockers for sale. Locks are generally missing but easy fix with heavy duty pad lock. Don't like the color...Rustoleum is your friend.

There's a fire rated safe at an estate sale for only $125.00 off of SE 141st & Powell.
I saw it yesterday and other then the strip of door insulation that need to be glued back on, it would make a great ammo safe.
It's over 4' tall.
