Not to change the subject but what about training to use these things? Or even some kind of trauma first aid for things like "battle wounds"? Anyone have a good source for this kind of training?

I think most of your local community colleges and voc schools have first aid classes at most levels up to registered nurse.

Best over the counter way to get antibiotics is fish aquarium antibiotics.
Same stuff... Amoxicillin, penicillin etc. also local feed stores you can get a quart of animal penicillin for $17.99.

If you should use the vet grade pen. make sure you have LOTS of antihistamines on hand as the patient will likely have a severe reaction, also that stuff can become so thick in storage that you'll need a huge needle to get it into a vein
