Media Separator

I bought the small red ACE Hardware plastic paint bucket and another but in stamped steel. The plastic one nests perfectly inside the steel one but separates easily. I drilled a bunch of 1/4" holes in the bottom of the plastic one till it looked like Swiss cheese. I nest the plastic one inside the steel one and after tumbling I up-end this on top of my vibratory tumbler and flip it over and dump the media and brass from the tumbler into this. I slide the inner plastic one out and the brass separates from the media. A quick shake of the plastic bucket with the brass (outside) removes any remaining particles of media (walnut shell) and a followup blast with a blow gun from my compressor leaves them completely media - free.

I use the bucket method. I drilled bigger holes in the plastic strainer. Works great, no hinges to break.lol
