I especially LOVE this part!

Under the law, Oregon serfs must go through government gun school — which doesn't exist yet — before being able to apply for a permit to buy a gun.

Just last week, of course, AG Ellen Rosenblum argued that "delaying Oregon's voter-approved gun control Measure 114 would result in unnecessary deaths and 'forestall Oregon's effort to reduce the risk of a massacre within its borders,'" according to KATU. Now her office is asking for a pause because they're not actually ready yet.

This should be a slam dunk for the Judge, it's obvious the state and LEVO Lied to the people when they pushed all this, and now it's come to roost, and our A.G. is a condescending twat who knows full well its illegal and unconstitutnal, but, being a leftist anti right bigiot, that's what we got!
Note that the Assistant AG is now the in between for the Judge. I thing the AG has finally realized she's operating outside the Oregon Kangaroo Court system and needs to get a bit of insulation/plausible deniability after she go laughed at when she told the Judge that the permit system would be in place by the 8th last Friday.

"This measure has nothing to do with taking your firearms and everything to do with using them against one another"

KPTV just aired that.
Defund and neuter the police didn't get the job done so now they are disarming the victims.

When are they going to go after the predators that do the killing?

?

Oregon also ranks just about last in the nation in mental health services, but one angle the 114 pushers played up was the suicide rate would be reduced with 114.

Hey dum dums maybe first get a handle on improving mental health services.

Unfortunately for them, that would've taken a lot more actual work than duping people into voting for 114.

Why would there be concerns about the suicide rates when the state condones and in fact has laws around assisted suicide?

Doesn't make any sense to me…

If one of the big selling points is suicide prevention, then outlaw assisted suicide….

But suicide in Oregon is OK if you pay a doctor...

Has anybody told them that a truly suicidal person will always find a way? Making it harder to get a gun only means using another option like jumping off a bridge, hanging themself, or any number of well known ways.

It's never been about making anyone safer except for corrupt politicians and the powerful who would take our basic freedoms away.

Suicide is just part of the emotional lie they tell the sheep to get them to vote how they are told.

If you look back towards 2020 and beyond.. You'll see a pattern emerging not only Nationally but within Oregon.

Defund the police movement and the protests for 180+ days in Portland at the Justice center. ( Give the Trump administration bad PR)

District Attorney Mike Schmitt and AG Rosenblum letting protesters get out of jail with felony charges and go right back into protests night after night (Comrade in arms)

Disbanding of the Gun Violence Reduction Team ( in reality it's a anti gang task force)

Crime in Portland starts to spike at unprecedented levels and puppet news outlets start airing stories about " gun violence" but never cite the origins or give you full the story other than a shooting occurred.

All of this was the perfect storm for them to advance their agenda after they triggered their own crisis and pose as the savior.

It's clearly by design. I'd be interested to see the participation by LEVO and/or it's principles in the Defund movement as well as the riots caused by BLM and AntiFa.

Also it's not Lift Every Voice Oregon LEVO it's Every Victim Is Left UnSafe (EVIL US)

Fed judge puts on hold permit-to-purchase gun regulation for 30 days but denies temporary restraining order against Oregon Measure 114's ban on magazines holding more than 10 rounds & completed background check requirement

Hey man, haven't you heard? Oregon is all for the unbridled freedom of the individual to do anything they want. Except own firearms.

Are there not other challenges still pending? I would expect an appeal.
At least the 30 day extension will allow some to get their new firearm out of jail.
Unfortunately the 30 day extension isn't even what the AG had requested. Guess the judge doesn't want OSP to have a relaxing holiday season....

The judge says the Fitz case plaintiffs

"challenge only Measure 114's restrictions on large-capacity magazines and claim these restrictions violate their rights under the Second and Fourteenth Amendments. Plaintiffs do not challenge Measure 114's permit-to-purchase provision, the implementation of which this Court has stayed for thirty days following a request by Defendants."

And I think the Judge did more with another order in the OFF lawsuit. Sounds like she rejected consideration of OFF's filings on December 5 as being untimely. She says plaintiffs had notice of the provision for a long time.

Edit: And, at least in the past page of the judge's order someone posted on another thread, the judge may be open to allowing another postponement, depending on what happens within the next 30 days from Dec 8.
