What is the WA equivalent of OFF ? Or do we even have one?
SAF. You used to be able to donate to them through your Fred Meyers account every time you made a purchase. They eventually removed them from the donation list.
SAF, with the difference that SAF is winning in the courts. They're HQ'ed in Bellevue.
Don't forget the CCRKBA, a sister organization to the SAF and the legal advocacy side of SAF. Gottlieb founded the CCRKBA years before he started the SAF.

Citizen initiatives wouldn't necessarily all be bad. But a question of curtailing rights guaranteed in The Constitution. Or any rights that citizens have come appreciate for many years, should be disallowed from the get go by the Legislature. Measure 114 is a glaring example.
Agreed, they can be good. If you are stuck with bad politicians and good ideas need a work around from them, they can be good when they are ignoring the people, laws or the Constitution. Unfortunately, they are ripe for bad actors, with millions of out-of-state money to scream, "It's for the children!!!" while clutching their pearls and get bad laws passed. We were outspent on 114 by an insane amount, mostly from out of state interest.

"1. State Defendants object to the Court's finding that the Federal Bureau of Investigation will not conduct background checks."

"2. State Defendants object to the Court's finding that the parties "agreed" that Measure 114 "delays the purchase of firearms for a minimum of 30 days."

"3. State Defendants object to the Court's findings that State Defendants failed to present public safety evidence."

"4. State Defendants object to the Court's findings regarding ownership of firearms."

"5. State Defendants object to the Court's finding that the media sensationalizes mass shootings."

"6. State Defendants object to the Court's finding that "almost all emigrants to the Oregon Territory had firearms.""

"7. State Defendants object to the Court's finding that the "a magazine is a necessary component of a firearm.""

So.. "all of it"

If I'm not mistaken, wouldn't this push any efforts for a higher Court to overrule back until the final ruling?

Your tax dollars at work and working hard to strip you of your rights.
Meanwhile. there is NO money for road maint, or sanding and snow plowing, the state has to rob funds from other sources to pay for the bare minimum to keep the roads clear, and with the current storm, they just blew their entire emergency wad, so now must steal more from some other source, like the schools or something more important!

Imagine if they had the millions of tax payer dollars it took to defend this unconstitutional law from the beginning, we wouldn't have as much to worry about this winter, and it's just getting started!

Priorities  very skewed priorities.

Agree this state is totally phucked. No $ for police, passing laws to protect criminals and make police's job nearly impossible, purposely making it more congested and dangerous to drive a car, etc. every $ they spend makes the problems worse, instead of improving the state. It's a downward death spiral. Exponential growth in drug use leads to exponential growth in crime and social services needed to support them. And it attracts more and more crazies and meth heads to the state. Then those will have to be supported by the working person.

Before too long a huge % of a working person's income will be to pay for homeless housing where each individual gets free food and free housing (currently at $4000/month per per homeless person), repatriations taxes, and gigantic social structure which only grows the problems bigger, requiring an even bigger social structure which requires more taxes etc.

Priorities  very skewed priorities.
All part of the plan and they need 114 to succeed so they can turn the rest of Oregon into a Portland socialist paradise with bums and drugs running amuck, crimes being committed with glee and the only people who have a monopoly on violence are the criminals and police.
Henceforth, not a bug but a feature of bringing all of the weirdness of Portland to all fellow Oregonians whether they like it or not.

The state negotiated a deal with the Feds, but they were cagey about what that really looks like and how long it is, so they're going to have to be prepared to present what the agreement was, how long it would be in effect, and what their response is after it sunsets. The second one, they're going to have to prove they didn't agree to that, and I suspect there's plenty of paper trail indicating oen way or the other.

On the rest, the state is just being typical evil retards that they are. Everything from 3-7, especially 7. That one is going to embarrass them since that's been ruled on by SCOTUS already. Magazines are a component necessary for firearms to work, thus arms as defined. Good luck Rosenbaum, you c*nt.
