I am having a LR gun built. Only thing left to decide this the stock. I have been reading up on mcmillan and manners. I am going to go with a hunting style vs bench rest stock. Anybody running any of these and how do you like them.

Thanks Ken

Are you looking for light weight, or............
Don't forget Boyds stocks, they are not light, but not heavy ether, and for a stable long range rifle, not a bad way to go.
I have no experience with laminate stocks. I do know they're stiff wood, and everyone likes stiff wood!

What's the consensus on using them in wet weather hunting scenarios? Do they move zero at all unless properly sealed?

Stiff wood gettin' wet.... heh heh... :D

Never had any issues with laminates shifting or flexing when hot or cold, or wet, it's the whole reason for laminates, they are more stable then normal wood!
I seal mine in Spar Urethane, the first two coats thinned 70/30 with alcohol to get the wood to soak it in real good, and cure them in a hot box with a 100W light bulb for several hours! Rock Hard finish no matter how wet you get it! :D

I have two Boyd's laminate stocks. I have never had them in the wet weather. I got rid of a kimber 84m that was beautiful but I didn't was to hunt in the rain with it.

I am hoping this build is on the lighter side. A composite stock for all the rain we get. I have a few rifles that a bull barreled and in chassis but they are on the heavy side to lug around all day.

Decided to go with the mcmillan

Check this out, just in case:
