I have strongly considered buying this but since I have five 30-06's and this rifle has open sights - not my cup of tea, The rifle is well worth what is being asked for it. I also am amazed it has not sold. One of my favorite rifles is a 1903 Springfield sporter. This rifle would be a good starting point for a new shooter.
