    These are excellent little rifles.
$380 is a good price , at least where I'm at.

    You are welcome.
I had one once and in a fit of insanity traded it off LOL
If I had Cash , I'd buy yours.
A Mauser carbine in .45 acp would be very cool , good luck in your project.

hey, my bro has a k98 we had a smith convert to 45 with a rhineland kit. Its pretty awesome, and I think he might want to sell it if you are interested. If not, I cant say enough about the rhineland kit - and Kevin Riddling here in Salem made it very sexy, he actually liked the project so much that he preemptively polished and put on a gorgeous bluing for next to nothing - call him if you are gonna have a smith do it.

I don't blame you, but there are a couple caveats to the kit that make it difficult to pull off on your own. First, the barrels are crazy corroded in place. We ended up using kevin's barrel clamp and the both of us twisted on the bastard with all our might, damn near point of giving ourselves hernias, to break it loose. There's also a little bit of issue with the feed ramp. We had to weld a ramp onto it inside the receiver to bridge the ramp on the Mauser, which is for a fairly truncated projectile, to that of a ball 45. Other than that, finding the exact sweet spot to pin in the magazine well was a little difficult too.

I think he wants close to six hundred bucks for it, but considering it was almost $400 for the smith work by the time they bolt got bent, reblued and the stock refinished, that's only 200 bucks for the rifle and kit.

I just texted him about it and when i hear how much he wants, or even if he still wants to let it go, I'll let you know

I regretted selling mine, if my wife wasn't slated for an operation that will sideline her off work I'd be picking this up!
