Too dry? Climate change. Too wet? Climate change.

It's called "the weather.'
Indeed! So far, this winter and spring has been remarkably wet and cool for the Willamette Valley.. its not normal seeing the Willamette river high enough that the pilings are just about submerged by West Salem's Wallace Marine Park, this late into the year.

Shame all those Japanese tourists won't be able to take pics of their kids sitting on random Bison

There can be climate change and weather still will exist. One is an average; the other is what's happening today.
I have a hard time when we're spoon fed a theory based on a flawed premise and arguments that didn't come true, Google hockey stick temperature increase by Mann I believe. He's basically the father of the temperature increase theory.

In the end, the temperatures didn't increase like he predicted AND CO2 emissions increased dramatically. Also, during the year 2020 when the pandemic shut down basically all flights, and the white collared workers went remote, the CO2 emissions were at an all time low. Oddly enough, there was a measurable increase in the earth temperate that was based on the lack of CO2 in the atmosphere to reflect the rays of the sun.

Bottom line, climate change is a billion dollar industry that is pushed by scientists receiving government grants to state the impacts of climate change. I'm sorry, but if you're paycheck is predicated on you finding a premise true, will you be the dissenter that doesn't get paid?

We're also being told that climate change is an issue, then all of our state governors travel to some foreign country to talk about it. Or, the world leaders all meet in Davos in their private jets to state that climate change is a problem.

It's pretty bad. A couple of towns are completely isolated with power out. The north loop of the park will be closed for at least the rest of the season, potentially for over a year. Cooke City will be inaccessible all winter when Black Bear Pass closes for the season. Not sure what the residents will do for supplies.

The town of Red Lodge, to the east of the park (east end of Black Bear Pass) is almost completely flooded. Billings is having some minor flooding, nearby Shepherd was hit pretty hard. To the north, Columbia Falls is having minor flooding, but the Flathead is currently rising as is the Yaak in Libby area. Expecting snow above 5K feet over the next couple of days, then into the 80s for the weekend, causing more substantial runoff. Then a big rain storm right after that. It's a mess.

Exactly. And extreme weather events occur on both sides of the mean. That is the nature of climate. I think that was the whole point of the comment.

One needn't assume that every extreme weather event is an example of special cause variation.

Initially they were calling it broken heart syndrome. Just so dang depressed from sitting at home watching Netflix during the scamdemic I guess.

You Can Learn A Lot About NEETs By The Memes They Post Online

A NEET or neet is a person who is "Not in Education, Employment, or Training". The acronym NEET was first used in the United Kingdom but its use has spread to other countries including Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

In Japan, the classification comprises people who are unemployed, not engaged in housework, not enrolled in school or work-related training, and not seeking work.
