I don't know what's going through the minds of the voters in those states, but I can't believe how many are so willing to hand their rights over to the Government. The founders must be rolling over in their graves watching so many suckle off the public teat. The politicians in some of these states have really pulled the wool over the voter's eyes. What a place we've become, it's sad.

They've been sheeple for too long... Just waiting for the free grain The Man puts in their trough. Too Few free-thinking red blooded Americans are left in these states to stem the tide. Sad... Yes. Should we cut our losses and invite the patriots for the Electoral process in our states.....Absolutely

Look at what they did in Watertown looking for those two bombers.

Muzzles pointed right in the faces of children, warrantless evictions, searches and detainment.

Sickening.

Let those SOBs vote their freedom away.. They let it get that bad in the first place.

All the while, I see more and more pro firearm folks here in OR get involved and show support where its needed..

These are the same people that cheered the police that locked them in their homes, and searched same without due process.
Over a college kid run amok.

Never doubt the stupidity of people willing to keep a gun-grabbing socialist pol like Ted Kennedy in office for 47 years.

Yep. "Please Mr. Government Man, lock me in my home, strip me of my rights, make me do what you want me to do, because I can't be trusted to think for myself. You are the power, the honor and the glory forever Mr. Government Man" It makes me sick that so many people in this country think the Government is their salvation. They clearly have no idea about why and how this country was founded in the first place. I guess we have government run schools and curriculum to thank for that - along with parents that never bothered to instill patriotism and love of country and freedom into their kids. Our votes must speak loudly in every election - vote for those who seek less government, not more.

You know it is scary how the old quotes fit today issues

And you know what's sad. You ask 90% of kids today who Thomas Jefferson is and all they'll know or say is he was a slave owner So he must've been an ignorant Bigot. Public schooling and universities are the problem.

Always the liberal states....Always.

Sure seems to be the case. There are many who like to say it's not liberals that are anti-gun, that it's not fair to put the blame on one side. While it's true there are those claiming to be 'conservative' that have gone along with many of these laws, the creation of this legislation almost always originates on the left. All you have to do is look at states that have passed the most restrictive gun laws in the country, then look at the politicians at the helm of those states: California, Colorado, Maryland, Illinois, Connecticut, D.C. (not a state, but part of this nonetheless), New York, Massachusetts. It should become pretty darn clear that the left side of the political spectrum is more interested in taking away our rights rather than protecting them. For those that choose to vote on the left, yet claim to be pro 2A, I wonder how many more rights you'll have to see taken away from you and your pro-2A brothers and sisters before you consider changing your vote.

The 2nd amendment shouldn't be a left vs right issue. But time after time after time, it appears to be that only one side continually goes on the attack against our 2A rights, aggressively and unapologetically - and that's the left.

Recent quote from Boston Police Commissioner Bill Evans:

"For the most part, nobody in the city needs a shotgun, nobody needs a rifle, and I don't know a lot of people who are into hunting who, being lifelong residents, would actually want that who lives in the city, but, especially here in the city I want to have discretion over who's getting any type of gun because public safety is my main concern and as you know it's an uphill battle taking as many guns off the street right now without pumping more into the system."

He clearly doesn't understand that the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with need. Unbelievable every time I hear stuff like this that so many ignorant citizens elect politicians that do nothing but $hit on their rights, and the voters just keep begging for more.

Mass. Police chiefs are, without exception, APPOINTED by mayors and city councils.
NONE of them are elected. They serve at the pleasure of their political masters.

Wow, I'm soooooo surprised that they parrot what their bosses tell them to.......;)
