This gets more disturbing with every day. I wish it had just been a workplace violence thing but the evidence now suggests a long simmering hatred. This kind of attack is actually much worse because it makes us distrust our fellow soldiers. :(

One more thing. Who in the world is running the military anyways? I cannot believe that the military does not profile their own... How could you turn a blind eye to reports from other soldiers and officers about his radical muslim beliefs. The security of our nation depends on it. Where else are we being infiltrated by this evil.

The current administration DOES NOT CARE. THey hate the military, border security is NOT a priority, and cops act 'stupidly'. Their prime concern is ramming socialism down the throat of the nation while feeding the Bill of Rights into a paper shredder while no one is looking, and Ipods are jammed into their ears. yay america. Its finished. Needs to be refounded. People like us will do it.

PMKN_PI, you have it pretty well covered.

From now on we should be waiting for our new provisional Constitutional government to reveal itself. It needs to be formed of men and women with geopolitical bonafides and backgrounds that show deep understanding of the Constitution.

The original Constitution, and it's ideals, has to be the absolute foundation of the new government. It must hold allegiance to the same exact ideas that the founders had, including their constant mention of the "Creator".

Any allegiance to other governments, parties, or international treaties must be abandoned except as they fit to the original concepts of the Constitution.

Until we find from within a provisional Constitutional government to make our complaints known to what currently passes for government now we have no strength.

Until our grievances are made known from such a body we are nothing but rabble, discontented mobs.
Our appeal must be made internationally but without any appeal to the UN, as that body has shown itself to be an enemy of our republic.

Should we ever (God forbid) need to rise up to the expectations of Jefferson, by which I mean armed correction or elimination of our current unconstitutional government, that can only be done Constitutionally under the direction of such a provisional government, as that document allows and demands.

All that said, I do not believe that we Americans have the same quality of character that our founders had, as it only barely worked once, and our people no longer believe in Divine Providence. Without Divine help it could never be accomplished.

I was in London in the early nineties when the IRA was blowing up busses. Trash cans in public places were actually sealed to prevent explosives from being planted in them. I can't remember a single person I knew saying that Catholics or Irishmen were to blame.

My flat mate at the time was Irish, and he considered Northern Ireland a country that no other country really wanted. Not the Irish. Not the English. He told me it had nothing to do with religion- It had to do with jobs, and who got them. It had to do with respect and self-respect.

I don't discount the fact that there are some class A religious nut jobs out there... But I think 9 times out of 10 perpetrators use religion as a prop. And it's a good prop, because a lot of folks don't take the time to question it.

Whatever the motivation, it's truly sad when our servicemen and women are killing each other.

But I think 9 times out of 10 perpetrators use religion as a prop. And it's a good prop, because a lot of folks don't take the time to question it.

Then do question it. Answer this question; Does islam teach that "believers" should murder, without any benefits of a legal system (The meaning of the term murder) someone who does not believe in islam?

I'll presume to answer for you;

quran 8:12
"I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle.

quran 8:39
"And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah" From the historical context we know that the "persecution" spoken of here was simply the refusal by the Meccans to allow Muhammad to enter their city and perform the Haj. Other Muslims were able to travel there, just not as an armed group, since Muhammad declared war on Mecca prior to his eviction. The Meccans were also acting in defense of their religion, since it was Muhammad's intention to destroy their idols and establish Islam by force (which he later did). Hence the critical part of this verse is to fight until "religion is only for Allah."

quran 8:57
"If thou comest on them in the war, deal with them so as to strike fear in those who are behind them, that haply they may remember."

quran 8:59-60
"And let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (Allah's Purpose). Lo! they cannot escape. Make ready for them all thou canst of (armed) force and of horses tethered, that thereby ye may dismay the enemy of Allah and your enemy."

quran 9:5
"So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them." According to this verse, the best way of staying safe from Muslim violence is to convert to Islam. Prayer (salat) and the poor tax (zakat) are among the religions Five Pillars.

quran 9:14
"Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and bring them to disgrace..."

quran 9:29
"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." "People of the Book" refers to Christians and Jews. This was one of the final "revelations" from Allah and it set in motion the tenacious military expansion, in which Muhammad's companions managed to conquer two-thirds of the Christian world in just the next 100 years. Islam is intended to dominate all other people and faiths.

quran 9:30
"And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!"

quran 9:38-39
"O ye who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter. Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place." This is a warning to those who refuse to fight, that they will be punished with ****.

quran 9:41
"Go forth, light-armed and heavy-armed, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the way of Allah! That is best for you if ye but knew." See also the verse that follows (9:42) - "If there had been immediate gain (in sight), and the journey easy, they would (all) without doubt have followed thee, but the distance was long, (and weighed) on them" This contradicts the myth that Muslims are to fight only in self-defense, since the wording implies that battle will be waged a long distance from home (in another country and on Christian soil, in this case, according to the historians).

quran 9:123
"O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness."

quran 61:4
"Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way" Religion of Peace, indeed!

The above quotes are all cut and pasted from "The religion of peace.com", I found that site when searching for evidence of islam's preaching's of murder.

My quest for understanding of islam started in 2001, I wondered how people could get so screwed up as to murder so many people they never met. I started with a book by the Ergun and Emir Kaner, Unveiling Islam: An Insider's Look at Muslim Life and Beliefs, and was shocked at what I found.

We naturally assume that other people are like we are, and it comes as a shock when we discovered that the kid in the fourth grade wanted to beat other kids up and steal their lunch money, and worse, if the parents were approached they would say "Not my little Johnny!" instead of punishing him.

We want to believe that all religions teach love, goodness and peace, but folks, it is long time past the time when we should get our heads out of the sand!

The fact, whether we want to admit it or not, is that we are at war with a demonic religion.

You mentioned Ireland; Did you know that more people were murdered by muslims on September 11th 2001 than during the whole history of the rebellion in Ireland? You were talking apples to oranges.

From ABC news website...

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/cop-killer-gun-thought-ft-hood-shooting/story?id=9019521

The gun thought to be used in the Fort Hood massacre packs so much firepower, it's known as 'the Cop Killer,' federal law enforcement officials said.

Major Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly packed a FN Herstal Five-seveN tactical pistol, which according to federal law enforcement officials, was legally purchased from the "Guns Galore" shop in Killeen, Texas in Aug. 2009. The store's manager, David Cheadle, said that particular firearm can hold 20 rounds in a standard clip and take a ten round clip extension. Cheadle said with one clip and one round in the chamber, one could fire 31 rounds before reloading.

Hasan may have used an expanded clip in the shooting.

On FN Herstal's webpage, the benefits of the Five-seveN pistol note that it can "defeat the enemy in all close combat situations in urban areas, jungle conditions, night missions and any self defense action."

More from Brian Ross and the Investigative Team

The second gun he had with him was a .357 S&W Magnum revolver, federal law enforcement officials tell ABC News. Ballistics are still being run to determine if he used the revolver in the shooting.

Federal agents, military investigators and Texas Rangers had been investigating whether the gun allegedly used by Hasan was purchased at "Guns Galore," Cheadle told ABC News.

"They called last night and asked about a specific name and gun purchase, but the name was not Hasan," said Cheadle.

Three investigators, including one wearing a Texas Rangers badge, were seen entering the store just before noon Friday. The manager said they were interviewing all of the store employees.

They declined to comment as they left Guns Galore in a car with Department of Defense markings.

The manager said he recognized a photo shown to him of Major Nidal Malik Hasan, identified by authorities as the suspect shooter at Fort Hood. But he said Hasan would have had to show identification if he had bought the gun in his name.

Cheadle said the agents were interested in a FN pistol that uses 5.7 caliber ammunition.

Your presumption is up to you. I would suggest a bit of reading of the Old Testament- I personally find it lacking in the brotherly love and peace to all department.

If I remember correctly, I think the justification for the Crusades was rooted there.

I'd also suggest beginning your study of the Irish conflict prior to the potato famine. Either your scope of conflict is suspect, or your math is.

Really? Moral equivalency? The difference is, MOST of Christianity has moved on to the 21st century. Islam HAS NOT. Period. But you prolly wont get it until you are in a situation where they are picking up your teeth to identify you.

Have you done some research on the muslim faith?:

http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/

NO!

Let's put things in perspective...

More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined.

Islamic terrorists murder more people everyday than the Ku Klux Klan has in the last 50 years.

More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland.

19 Muslim hijackers killed more innocents in two hours on September 11th than the number of American criminals executed in the previous 65 years.

Army massacre fiend Nidal Malik Hasan reportedly tried to make contact with al Qaeda terrorists, something intelligence agencies were aware of months ago.

It is not known whether the intelligence agencies informed the Army that Maj. Hasan, an Army shrink, was seeking to connect with suspected terrorists, ABC News reported today on its Web site.

nvestigators want to know if Hasan kept in contact with a radical mosque leader from Falls Church, Va., Anwar al Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen and promotes jihad against the US.

In a blog posting this morning, titled "Nidal Hasan Did the Right Thing," Awlaki calls Hassan a "hero" and a "man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people," ABC News reported.

The Telegraph of London reported that Awlaki had made contact with two of the 9/11 hijackers when he was in San Diego and that Hasan prayed at the same mosque with them before the attacks.

Shocking.

Shocking.

Let's be clear that Anwar Awlaki/Alawlaki (different sources translate his name/spelling differently) is not only a terrorist but a radical Islamic web site.

Just out of curiousity, do you guys have any Muslim friends?

I'd rather have a group of pet rattlesnakes loose in my house.

I'll have a Muslim friend as soon as I meet one who vehemently disowns and disavows terrorism. I've met some, but they all make excuses for and deny terrorism, just as some people on this board do.

Here is a list of Islamic terrorist attacks and the number of people killed in just the past two months.

The list is so long I can't paste it in here! This site allows only 10,000 characters per post and it exceeded it! Just two months of killings! So here's a link:

Last Two Months

Please take a look at the whole page. There's lots more.

Two wrongs make a right, according to libs and Islamic terrorists. Kinda strange how they think alike and tolerate each other...

As `long as it is a muslim, not a JEw or CHristian who did the killing, the media, UN and all the liberal snakes in the world will not need to make any big deal out of this incident. Our government now is quite pro-Islamic, as BHO himself said he will make great strives to bond in friendship with the Islamic world. BHO has helped the IRanians in their quest for nuclear weapons, the Arabs in their quest to destroy the Jewish state and is fighting a half-hearted war in Afghanistan, that will in the end help promote Taliban to becoming a world power.

If the person who commited the killings was a Jew, the media and all the islamic hypocrites aruond the world would have said it was a raving rleigious Zionist who was paid off by the bankers who did the killng. But some devoted, Al Queda sympathizing muslim, screaming "Allahu Akbar" does the killing in his white gown, then suddenly, he is not a terrorist, but a victim of abuse, by evil "white CHristian American soldiers". I wonder if a Jewish guy or Christian American guy living in the Middle east can achieve the rank of Major in their militaries?

I am sick of the hypocrisy, lack of compassion and racism against CHristians and Jews from the entire arab and muslim world. But my heart does go out to the Arabic CHristians who are abused, battered, murdered, robbed daily by Islamic bullies who do a great job of censoring their atrocities with the help of the oil loving and self-hating world media. Maybe the media is too busy crying about how bad Jews are to Hamas and Hizbollah, but I will never forget the slaying of Christians in Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan and the other countries in the middle east. In Pakistan if a Christian lady is seen walking down the street and they know she is CHristian, they can kidnap her, rape her and force her to convert to Islam and marry a muslim man, without any repercussions from the law. Wheres the Media outcry over this?

My prayer today is, "My Lord, please help destroy all the oil reserves in the middle east and help create an engine that can be run on another type of fuel."

WIthout oil, these terrorists would run out of fuel.

Your presumption is up to you. I would suggest a bit of reading of the Old Testament-

Maybe you are the one doing the presuming. Do you know how many times I've read the Bible? No? Then don't presume.

My main source of doctrine is the Pauline letters. I read the Old Testament with the understanding that it was written to Jewish people. It is important to Christians for many reasons but unlike some of the "Christian" cults I and many Christians follow the concept of dispensationalism, which is based on the understanding that portions of the Bible pertain to different times.

Now, then, if you can show me a common thread of islamic (I just can't capitalize that word!) "thought" or teaching that says the same thing for islam we can carry this argument forward, but I believe the quran is taught as being for all times. Your head is in just as much danger today of being removed from your body as it was in 610 AD. That of course is if you are not a muslim, and hey, that's the choice! You want to live? Become a muslim. You are free not to, but you will die!

Oh, and muslim kill each other pretty regular in spite of all their talk about standing together, maybe they shouldn't stand too close!

Just out of curiousity, do you guys have any Muslim friends?

That question reveals your lack of knowledge about islam.

Unbelievers are described by muhammad (in the quran) as "the vilest of animals" and "losers." Christians and Jews are hated by allah to the extent that they are destined for eternal doom as a result of their beliefs. It would make no sense for muhammad to then recommend them to be taken in as friends by muslims. In fact, the quran plainly commands believers not to take unbelievers as friends.

quran (5:51) - "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely allah does not guide the unjust people."

quran (5:80) - "You will see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; certainly evil is that which their souls have sent before for them, that allah became displeased with them and in chastisement shall they abide." Those muslims who befriend unbelievers will abide in ****.

A good place to start would be to admit you have a lot of misconceptions about islam, and rectify that.
