^^^That right there Folks is the crux of the problem. Mental health issues and firearms just don't mix. But that's not reason to deny a populace their un-infringed rights... Period..."In April this year, deputies were called to the home he shared with his mother after neighbors heard loud crashes coming from inside. He was acting 'irrationally' and was 'irate' so police called in their mental health specialist but they cleared him, deciding against having him committed. Neighbors told DailyMail.com on Thursday that his mother Colleen was 'terrified' he was going to harm himself or others."
Bottom line is, there was an individual with apparently severe mental issues that was left with access to a firearm.
Half a moped tire?So if 26 rounds is high capacity then what is this? View attachment 516262
Aside from an unreliable aftermarket mag that is.
I agree. I'm a veteran. I've known guys who came back from war a different person. Yes, what he did was wrong, and he was very disturbed. But this is a real tragedy for the victims and the shooter. Sad.Here in lies the problem. Was he always this way? At one point he was a United States Marine!
When do we call this a mental health issue and support our veterans and get them and others the help they need instead of always blaming the gun?
Preaching to the choir...wish the "other" folks would get that.A firearm, loaded, chambered, cocked, ready for someone to pull the trigger on, sitting without human interaction, will not kill anyone.
It aint the guns folks.

Quote from the article: "There were six off-duty officers at the bar that night.
"It's just amazing. There were probably six off-duty officers in there from a couple different agencies and I've already talked to a parent who said they stood in front of my daughter," Dean said."
6 off duty officers. None of them had a gun? Hard to believe.
When I was a teen my cousin was a cop. He and his friends would let me shadow them at bars a few times. They were never unarmed. I've never really seen where cops let the law stop them. I'm just saying. I don't get where that many cops would be unarmed at a bar. Not blaming, just amazed.Quote from the article: "There were six off-duty officers at the bar that night.

Apparently he had one mag change. A witness said it took like "6 seconds". That would be a slow mag change for a trained shooter where it would be more like 2-3 sec. Try it.
Yeah, I thought the same thing. I'm not a great handgunner but I can beat that time and stay on target. 6 seconds is long enough for someone to sprint 5 yards and execute a nice form tackle on the SOB. Or put a barstool to his forehead.
I wonder how much of that is just lashing out, and how much of that is the media pushing that narrative onto themSo, some of the parents (who I can understand are crushed, emotionally) are screaming for more gun control to stop this from happening
