Factions of the political system have convinced enough people that the government GRANT RIGHTS. This is a false understanding. Officials such as mayors and people in other local government positions like in Illinois have now shown they gave no respect for the people they promised to protect.

Well, here we are. Please vist your state capital and experience the arrogance and ignorance first hand. The problem is these people believe they posess the power they've granted themselves.

Question is, if a city is allowed to place a fine on your personal property which you refuse to pay, that city or councils has given itself the authority to arrest you without ever committing a crime.

1. This is MA, and they are at the vanguard of gun control, no surprise there. If it were someplace like Montana I would be a little more surprised
2. Definitely local, but I would not be surprised if OR and WA tried to copy it, as most of the judges here lean far to the left, so it could be problematic at the state level.
3. If Trump can just get one more conservative on SCOTUS it would help a ton to overrule all these stupid lower court rulings once and for all.

I fear that is not the case -- look at the current amount of censorship FB, Twitter, and Youtube engage in already -- those sites don't seem to be losing popularity (and yes, the recent shooting at YT by a vegan comes to mind, but one person is an isolated incident, not a mass).

I live and work just a few miles from Barrett arms in Tn. He still won't sell to any government agency in any state where he can't sell to everyone.
