This is always a large event and always fun! We usually do this in September, right around National Public Lands Day, but this year we're a little early.

Burgers & Dogs for lunch (provided), and free raffle prizes.

Thanks, @Rem700..300 , for you and Tracy spearheading this and getting it going!

Stay tuned for an announcement of a very cool prize to be won at this event! And yes, it will be free! It will blow your mind (actually, will blow someone else's mind! Either that, or will blow the lungs right out of the body!!!) :D

Any guesses?

Will post about it as soon as I gather the final details... soon!

Always a great time. Hopefully no funny stuff like 2018. Just good old fashion trash. Food is always great and might temp people with cookies and cheese cake. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

We cleanup target shooting sites on public lands because we value our kind of recreation. We appreciate a good place to shoot and we care about how that place is treated.

We are concerned about our environment and want to see it healthy and well cared for. We want it to be left as if no one has been there before.

So we will join as a group this Saturday at Mary's Peak to dish out some of that stewardship and perform routine maintenance at a place we really enjoy and value.

Come join the Trash No Land staff, Benton County Sheriff's Department, Bureau of Land Management, Siuslaw National Forest and a bunch of great people, as we do good work for our public land and recreational target practice.

9 AM to 12 Noon, Saturday Aug 13th, 2022. Details, map link and information is on our Events website page at:

Made it back home, SW WA, at 4:30. We had 50 people at the cleanup and got it all spiffed up super clean by 11. So, the Sheriff and his deputies started cooking up lunch early. Yes, the Sheriff himself cooked for everyone! Very cool!

We gave away the shotgun! Twice!!! The first winner was actually Sheriff Jef Van Arsdall. He decided to take the shotgun, and we proceeded to raffle off all the other prizes. I think just about everyone won something! The the Sheriff made a cool move...

Sheriff Jef changed his mind about the shotgun, so he put it back and choose the nice fishing rod and reel. So, we dished out new raffle tickets to everyone and raffled it off again! Everyone was excited about that and we found a good home for it. Nice move, Jef!!!

I've got tons of pics to sort through and will post some soon. Any video stuff may need to wait a while, as I'm heading out of town on a vacation next week.

Huge thanks to @Rem700..300 and his wife Tracy for organizing this and working with Benton County Sheriff's Dept on all the details. We heard lots of praises for how well it was organized and such a big difference we made. Good job Craig and Tracy!!!

Just got back from the quarry on Marys Peak. Happy to report with the 2 week check up things look pretty darn good still. Picked up 1 large trash bag of shotgun shells and cardboard. Could of maybe had another 1/2 bag but things were good. Also happy to report NO doll sightings.
Cheers!

Be sure and report that to Al, Matt and Andy! Thanks, Craig!

Didnt make it back to the Marys Peak quarry this evening to see how it is holding up since the clean-up. Was surprised no one was there. All the spots on our normal loop only yielded a tire, 1 trash bag full and a 1/2 gallon of brass. Cant get much better than that.
The new Springfield 1911 shot wonderful also. I was a happy camper. Sorry not many pictures. Just a before.
