Hey all,

A friend of mine has a Marlin 60. The serial number starts with 27, and everything we could find is that it is a 1973 vintage.

Long story short, it was taken apart many years ago for whatever reason. He is just getting around to putting it back together and is missing some parts.

Does anyone have an inner and out magazine tube? Also, the rear screw from the trigger guard is missing.

Please let me know what you have and a price so I can pass it along to him.

Thank you.

Marlin revamped the model 60 around 1985 and shortened the ammo tube to 15 rds (New Jersey anti assault gun BS), but added the last round hold open feature.
If you're buying parts, maybe you could buy the long ammo tube and the LRHO parts and have the best of both worlds.

I will bring this option up. Thank you for the info.

Does this have the bolt release lever in front of the trigger guard by any chance?

It does not appear to have it.

So, either the shorter or longer can be installed and easily put back to firing condition? Friend doesn't want to do any mods to get it back to shooting condition again.

I've got no dog in this. Just trying to help a friend.

Thanks for everything so far.

Thanks, TLF. Please PM picts and your price. I will pass the info along and see if he wants to take a drive to Salem. The worse he can say is "SALEM???? That is way too far to drive." :D
