There are a number of variations/vintages, but basically just want some sort of straight-stocked 39 carbine. Obviously would like the nicest one I can afford. Have a few items for trading if there's any interest.

Yes indeed. Got an extra one you'd part with? Sold a 39TDS for a friend many years ago. Long before I was into lever actions or Marlins. Think it went for around $300... Doh!
