Really nice Marlin 39a for being made in 1952. They still had Ballard rifling yet. All original except for a Williams aperture sight is mounted in factory side holes but comes with original sights and front sight hood.
Receiver has not been drilled and tapped.
Bluing is strong, no rust or scratches.
Action is smooth and tight.
Stock does have a tight crack you have to look for to find and a little chip at the receiver.
Overall this gun has had a pampered 60 years.
$550 cash only ( about $100 less than a remlin )
FTF in Lynnwood Wa. Area

The best 22 rifle of all times..

A '52 would have the plumper forend also which allows for a better off-hand hold for me compared to the much slimmer following generation. You can get your weak hand out on the end where it's nice and bulbous and really pull into your shoulder for a rapid and still lever cycle.

Love to see a picture too.. GLWS
