A friend of mine picked up a nice marlin 30-30 in likely 97% condition. the blueing is impressive for the year of the rifle and the stock is a dark cherry with very little amount of marking/blemishes, it has a carved out deer head in the butt about the size of the bottom of a soda can.

was wondering wat u guys though on wat it is worth?

    any ideas?

used Marlins seem to run in the 250.00-275.00 range when I see them, although this one sounds a bit nicer than most,I'd say it's still in that price range.

I'd have to agree with Throckmorton. While you do see lots of Marlin 30-30's for sale at gunshows for more than 300.00, you seldom see them sell for that. And if you look around you will find plenty of them in the price range he mentioned.
