Just took in a very nice Marlin 1895 LTD-II 45-70 on consignment. this rifle has the 8 shot tube and octogon barrel. I would rate this rifle as a 98%-99%.
$600 for the rifle alone or $700 will get you the rifle, 2 boxes of loaded ammunition, a set of dies, over 100 projectiles, and 150 new Federal nickel plated cases.

I am obviously not in your part of the country, but I will take the gun for $600 plus reasonable shipping to my local FFL gun dealer. I would like to see pictures, of course, but am taking your word that the gun is in very good condition. I have been looking for one of these for a while.
