This is probably a very basic question, but here goes.
I spend recreational time on DNR, National Forest etc land and I would like to save (mark) some of these locations on google maps or the like so that I can return to them in the future. Using my phone (Android, galaxy S7). In addition, it would be nice if I could take a picture and include that with the file (file is not the correct word but you know what I mean) for additional reference. Many of these areas have no known description (in google maps), just coordinates.
I'm assuming that one of the map programs/apps would be best suited for this?
I may occasionally run into areas of no cell coverage which of course poses some problems with this plan, but the coverage areas have really been improving (verizon).
Thanks
