Every day the gun grabbers are monitoring the news just waiting (hoping) for a story that they can spin emotionally to sway the remainder of people. And as we all know, statistically, it is just a matter of time until another mass shooting or some other one that involves kids happens.

It is like plane crashes, when they happen, they are catastrophic and very dramatic. YET, they still remain the safest way to travel. The same is true of these killings: they are horrific when they happen, but happen so rarely (statistically) that it shouldn't consume all of our political, emotional, etc. efforts like it is doing. There are so many things that cause more death and heartache to people that these politicians just ignore. Why?

Next time there is a plane crash, why don't we all propose to ban civilian air travel. After all, isn't modern aviation just a byproduct of military transport? And since just one crash can kill so many people (i.e. one gun can kill so many people), why should we allow such an instrument of mass death to exist in a civilized society?
