So sad to see that the World War II veterans leave this world.
It is a fact that no one can live forever but it is sad to see the end of an era of when men were men, joined the armed forces without a concern, fought and died for their country against insurmountable odds.
RIP Sir, knowing that you are a true hero in the hearts and minds of many Americans.
SALUTE.:s0042:

Breaks my heart.
I was lucky enough to spend a few hours with him 10 years back at a dinner our scout troop hosted, and his wife.
They were waiting for their ride and we were the only ones remaining.
Remarkable man!
FYI, he was from Astoria. Oregon grown!
RIP tech sgt.

Rest In Peace Sergeant Malarkey. One hell of a guy and Band of Brothers is one hell of a series. One man of a rare breed or soldiers, the paratroopers of Easy company. He deserves a funeral of the likes of Chris Kyle's. I would love to see a bronze statue of him is Astoria as a memorial. :s0042:
