There's a graphic somewhere that shows a rather disturbing thing.
The orange and the red represent counties as two groups with very similar population numbers.

clearly the red population is either not voting or voting for anti-gun politicians...

That map only mapped out about 208.6 million, out of 330+ million... and there was 153 million registered voters in 2016 according to Statistia, but supposedly 168 million in 2020

soooo yeah as someone pointed out... a lot of people as a whole, didn't vote regardless of party loyalty.
