I was under the impression that the TSA had a stranglehold on the airports. Can the airports go back to contracting for security screeners?

I saw this on both Fox and CNN so it's not just Alex Jones spouting batty stuff (not that the stuff he posts doesn't have a grain of truth to it). It's time that we send these serial molesters packing!

My understanding is that it is up to the airport who they want to hire for security. The TSA will put up resistance however, wanting to continue to meddle in their business to maintain their growth.

Even if it's not TSA personnel, they still have to adhere to all the same security procedures.
