Magpul carbine handguard on AR pistol w/no a2 front sight?

Hi All,
I'm about to start a pistol build and really like the look of a Magpul carbine handguard without the A2 front sight. Has anyone done this before?
I posted a picture so you can see what it looks like.
I saw on another forum they have discussed it, just checking out you ideas .

Id think a low pro clamp on gasblock and handguard cap would work just fine

Your barrel will have to be the exactly the right length at the flash hider threads for the cap to retain the handgaurd,

That's what I was thinking. Either that or somehow make a custom cap.
I was reading on ar15.com some guy made his own cap with a set screw to go on the barrel

If the barrel was a little longer you could make a sleeve that fit over the barrel with set screws to retain the cap, just set it where it needs to be. Hmm aluminum tube maybe with the right size inside diameter to slide over the barrel.
